Perennial flat plant that grows on mud-flats and coastal sandy or rocky places or along streams or beside lakes. Fleshy hairless creeping plant. Spoon-shaped, bright green leaves, up to 10cm long. Pale fan-like flowers, 6-8mm long, grey-purplish on the outside. Flowering mainly in summer.
